Eva Hernández Cruz (b. 2003) is a Puerto Rican artist and aspiring art historian from Condado, San Juan. She developed a passion for art at the age of five through her involvement at the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico in Santurce. Over time, her love for art and history merged, inspiring her to create works that celebrate Puerto Rican culture, history, and everyday life. Working in painting, wood, and ceramic sculpture, her art has been exhibited in Philadelphia and San Juan. As an artist and art historian, Eva seeks to honor the legacy of Puerto Rican and global artists; past and contemporary. She strives to create art that captures the richness of the Puerto Rican experience and to make art history accessible and engaging for all.
